Cole operates out of our Memphis, Tennessee office and has a history of exceeding client expectations in challenging high-stakes environments. He has over 20 years of hands-on experience working with litigation support software including OnCue, Trial Director, TimeCoder Pro, and Sanction.
An expert user of mainstream presentation software such as PowerPoint and Keynote, Cole also has an in-depth understanding of the litigation life-cycle and all the moving parts contained therein. He has executive-level experience researching, mapping, and implementing tools and processes for collaboration and workflow in a litigation support environment. Possessing high-level knowledge of audio-visual equipment, especially as it pertains to trial technology, Cole has been the hired gun for several high-profile litigation matters throughout the country.
Shantaye Q. Payton
Paralegal, Litigation Support & eDiscovery Professional
Shantaye earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Technology from Hinds Community College. She served as a paralegal for a National Defense firm for 15 years. Shantaye focuses her energy on assisting attorneys in products liabilities, personal injuries, and multi-party tort litigation.
She is highly experienced in all phases of litigation, including document control and analysis, exhibit prep, database management, drafting discovery requests and responses, assisting with deposition, arbitration, trial preparation, and support and is now a member of the Legal Connections team.
She currently serves as a board member of the Mississippi Paralegal Association, where she has proudly held the position of secretary since 2015. Her passion on this board is to help provide low cost continuing legal education credits to its members and affiliates.
Tony R. Hutton
Litigation Technology Paralegal, eDiscovery, Forensics, Cyber Security & Project Management Professional
Tony is a graduate of Purdue University and holds a Master's Degree in Information Technology and is a long-standing member of Project Management Institute, The National Notary Association, The American Society of Trial Consultants, The International Association of Computer Investigation Specialists, The American Society of Digital Forensic and eDiscovery, The International Legal Technology Association, National Federation of Paralegal Associations, and The Mississippi Paralegal Association.
A Notary Public and paralegal, Tony is also a Microsoft trainer, Certified Project Manager, eDiscovery Specialist, Computer and Mobile Forensic Professional, Trial Director Trainer, Certified OnCue User, and Certified Ethical Hacker he assists firms in their cyber security and cloud architecture environments. He has extensive experience in the most common litigation support tools and graphics technologies, including but not limited to, Sanction, OnCue, Access Data Summation, Relativity, Ipro, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other Adobe products.
Cheryl Bowden-Walker
Trainer, Litigation Technology & Media Consultant
A certified Trial Director specialist, Cheryl holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Belhaven University and a Master’s Degree in Media Design Technology from Full Sail University and has expert knowledge in business solutions and creating media-rich presentations that include original film directing, video editing, Keynote, PowerPoint, blogs, multimedia HTML and Responsive websites.
She is an educational trainer and program developer with many years of experience in providing outstanding programs for small business owners, law practices, schools, retail establishments, and non-profits. Cheryl brings a variety of training topics to the legal industry. Having extensive experience in office management and training, Cheryl delivers career workshops on eDiscovery, Leadership, Staffing, Teamwork, Sales Techniques, Customer Service, Presentation Skills, and Image & Career Counseling.
Prior to consulting with Legal Connections, Cheryl previously managed a print shop which specialized in wide and small format printing, and graphics creation. She partnered with many firms to provide all of the document preparation and printing needs to enhance their image and help persuade juries.
Angela T. Payton
Paralegal, Litigation Support & Legal Case Manager
Angela earned her Bachelor of Science degree as a double major in Paralegal Studies and Administration of Justice from Mississippi College. Angela brings over 20 years of experience to Legal Connections as a Senior Paralegal.
Angela is highly experienced in all areas of litigation, including mass tort, personal injury, worker’s compensation, civil litigation, family law, criminal law, and bankruptcy law.
Prior to working in the legal field, Angela was employed as a chiropractic assistant. Angela has three daughters, Angel, Madison and Madeline. Among the many things on her list of favorites are serving as a youth director at her church, spending time with family, reading, and travel.
Eric Alden
Graphics Consultant, Media Designer, Video & Acoustics Engineer
A graphics, media and acoustics expert, for more than 25 years Eric is a native of Jackson,
Mississippi. Prior to joining Legal Connections, Eric worked in the film industry producing and
directing short films and music videos for several up-and-coming actors, actresses and aspiring
musicians.
A former newsroom intern he began his career in design at Harold Lyle Studios in Jackson,
where he helped create and design media-rich presentations that included original film
directing, video and sound editing as well as graphic overlays and multi video and audio
synchronization.
Eric has a wide creative background. As a graphics designer and acoustic engineer, he assists
litigants in creating compelling demonstratives and presentations of evidence that help
persuade jurors, mediators, and judges during legal proceedings. Eric’s skills and ear for music
producing enable him to assist with rough audio edits that help litigants enhance low noise
audio recordings from telephones, tape recorders, PA systems, etc.
A certified Adobe professional, Eric has composed media packages for local attorney’s
broadcast television commercials, written scripts for teleprompter lead interviews, created
custom menu systems for the restaurant and hospitality industry, and increased client
engagement with informative media.
Felicia Barnes
Chief Executive Officer and Vice President
Felicia is the Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Legal Connections. She received her Bachelor of Art in English from historic Tougaloo College and holds a Master's Degree in Public Policy. Felicia's background is in grant and contract management, where she has over twenty years of experience. Before leading Legal Connections, she served previously as a staffer for a U.S. House of Representative member, Grant and Contract Administrator at Mississippi's Largest hospital, and Assistant Director of Federal Programs for a Mississippi Charter School District. Her knowledge of contract management, business, and marketing, helps keep Legal Connections at the forefront of our industry and our clients completely satisfied.
